Not a recent read but my all-time favourite book is The Song of Achilles. It's a retelling of The Illiad from the perspective of Patroclus and its literally amazing!! I could not recommend it enough 🥰 Currently I'm trying my best to read Emma by Jane Austen but the old English is a bit hard to follow along to lol
