Hello @Red_Giraffe

Since you are in a bit of a tough situation at the moment with maintaining and repairing the relationship you have with your significant other.

It is also perfectly normal to want to talk about the issues that are hindering your relationship and as mentioned by @Green_Ghost shows great maturity and a drive to the discuss and deal with the problems at hand.

However as mentioned by @Green_Ghost and @Delilah_Dandelion, it seems that your partner is not up for a conversation which proves challenging, especially since you can’t mitigate the issue if nothing is discussed.

I might sound like I’m just repeating what @Green_Ghost and @Delilah_Dandelion have previously mentioned, but I do believe it is a good idea to try to approach him in a calm and non-judgmental way to hopefully help him to open up for discussion, schedule some time with him as well to discuss this as if he is uncomfortable with talking, a scheduled time might help him to mentally prepare more for the upcoming discussion as opposed to a sporadic discussion

I would also perhaps urge you to be a bit more patient on approaching a discussion with him as well, as I believe that it sometimes take a lot of courage to try to discuss past issues especially if it just happened recently or have leave huge scars in both of you.

In any case, keep us informed of the situation and I hope that your relationship issues can be resolved.
