Hi @HazelHazelton
Hearing about a friend's struggles can definitely be hard and difficult to process, especially when you feel like there is not much you can do to provide help. Speaking from experience, it is always just generally nice to have someone around that they can talk to or to just be a different presence around them, which I'm sure you are managing. I am sorry to hear about your friend's current problems, but it is important that in times like these you take extremely good care of yourself so that you are able to provide the best version of yourself to help your friend. It is clear that you care very deeply about this friend with the worry and stress you feel over their situation, so just reminding you to take care of yourself so that you can better take care of others.
I hope your friend's situation improves, and I hope that they are able to come through it without affecting the either of you too much.
