It sounds like feeling really angry is totally understandable, given how hurtful what your mum said was. That's really amazing that you've been able to calm down from that interaction and you should be proud of yourself for that
I think a lot of people can relate to thoughts of wanting revenge, like i definitely have thought "Wow it would be so great if a bird shat on that person who was rude." But I'm not going to shit on them myself, it was just a fleeting thought I had that I'm not going to follow through with. Is that sort of what you mean?

I understand that feeling when someone asks if you're ok and you say you are when you're not and then you feel worse I really love that you watched home and away though and that is something you share with your grandad! I think that is so lovely
You mentioned a few different options for professional supports in these posts, I understand you're not seeing your psych until next Wednesday and you were considering maybe emailing her, or seeing your gp, or seeing your back up psych, have you decided which of these options to take?

Hey @SomeoneNADJS , you're not pathetic, this is a lot to be managing and a really tough time for the system.
That is so tough to be given those two options, they do both seem really challenging -
Saying "don't get stressed as much" is much easier said than done isn't it.
I'm hearing that you're feeling really awful at the moment, is there anything you could do to feel a bit better or distract yourself for a bit ?

Hey @musicfan_xo, I don't think you're lazy either, it's ok to not have worked - we place so much emphasis in society on "work" and I think it can be harmful because there are lots of different things people do with their time and they are all valid. You're doing You, and that is awesome
That sounds really frustrating, the experience you had with the NDIS, did you talk to your psychiatrist about it afterwards to see if there was anything they could do?

Thanks for making this thread and for sharing your experiences, I think this is something a lot of people can relate to and they will appreciate hearing your thoughts and having the space to share their own
I think something that helped me when I felt pressured by the adults in my life, was the realisation that they are all humans just like me - and they don't really know what they're doing either, we're all just making it up as we go. And we're also all separate humans who need to form our own values. I really like the phrase "Comparison is the thief of joy" and I try to think about this whenever I find myself comparing my successes to others. Is there anything you've found that helps you @Gbear when you're really feeling this pressure?
It's so lovely to read how passionate you are about advocating for others, self-care and unconditional love, is there anything that helps you to turn this inwards? Like asking yourself, "what would I say to a friend if they were in my situation"?

Hey @Saltwaterdreamtime did listening to music help your brain to slow down a bit? It is such a tough one, and I think like @Lost_Space_Explorer5 was saying we have all had shitty experiences that we then can't stop thinking about and its a horrible space to be in. I have definitely had job interviews where I've said things and later thought... "Why on earth did I say that I would never normally say that who am I"
I think its good to remember that when you do a job interview or a big work meeting, it's really normal to be quite nervous and anxious about it, and its because you care. The person on the other side of this, if they are a nice person, should be respectful of this and understand the vulnerable position you're in.
Thank you for your drawing - I definitely relate to having those conversations! I think it is completely understandable to be feeling this way and it doesn't make you not-normal. Is there anything you can do while you're waiting to hear back from them?

It's understandable to be feeling stressed and overwhelmed about this, but I want you to know you're not alone in feeling this way Not everyone who experiences dissociation during sex has a history of childhood sexual assault, though I understand why you are thinking about this and wondering about repressed memories. Have you ever sought professional support around this? Some people find it helpful to chat to a psychologist/counsellor about issues around dissociation to try and figure out what might be causing it, is this something you would be interested it?

It definitely was bittersweet @Lost_Space_Explorer5 - he and I had bonded a lot, but he is bonding with his new fam pretty quick which is what it's all about and i'm delighted <3
Y'all do have a solid sense of humour and frequently make me lol. I get that sometimes laughing about things makes them easier to cope with.

This must be a really tough feeling to be managing and I'm sorry to hear you and you're sister don't have a good relationship. I think given you two don't have a great relationship it's understandable to be feeling uncomfortable, are there other things that she does out of spite that have made you concerned about your belongings?
Im sorry this is having such an impact on your life, if you're feeling like you are afraid to leave the house this must be very affecting, have you spoken to anyone else about this? Like someone else in your home?
