Hey @Forwardthinking , I didn't even know fashion business was a thing, our year 12 careers advisor had a limited manual hahaha that sounds really interesting.
I'm doing health promotion, which is far less creative but I still think it's interesting! Only 2 more assignments for this semester- woohoo kachoo!
Aside from the study, I like playing basketball and embarrassing addictive games on my phone haha! Lovely to meet you!

This campaign is so brilliant!
I was just going to look at the site and now I'm watching the videos haha! There are so many!!
Things I liked:
Ryan Fitzgerald: "It's just the beginning'
Sarah Harris: "These exams do not define your life"
David Campbell "Don't overstuff your desk with novelty items" hahaha and "Life is going to be fine"
All messages I needed to listen to and take in during my year 12 exams. Again, I love this campaign. Great work guys!!

Hey @drhalloween ,
Thanks for posting. Sounds like this is really worrying you at the moment. First off, here are some info sheets on herpes and STI's so we're square on the facts.
I would say the first thing that might be helpful is to speak with your GP. They are the ones with the best knowledge, and will be able to give you the most correct answer. If they say there is a possibility of transferring the virus, it would probably be a good idea to speak with your girlfriend about it. If this is close to the time when she is visiting then in person might be a good way. I know that is not an easy conversation to have but it's obvious that you care for her very much and I;m guessing she feels much the same way. I think when you care about each other so much, keeping things honest and open is really important.
Try not to beat yourself up about this, the fact that you are so worried shows how much you care about her and how you woudn't do anything to intentionally hurt her. Speak to your doc and go from there. Hopefully there is no issue but if there is let her know that you are there to support and help her. All the best.

Hey @motorhead
First off, yeah that sucks. No one likes to be scammed. Important thing here though is to try not to beat yourself up about it. We all make mistakes and feel like massive idiots. But, nothing good comes out of hating on yourself. Have you tried any techniques to get it out of your system? For me, playing sport or listening to music can be great to get my mind off things. Some of these might work for you too.
I'm really sorry it happened, I guess it feels pretty shit at the moment. Try to push through it and move on to better things :)

Hey @_sagira_ , you're right in thinking this will be a difficut time changing psychologists but you have a very mature and well prepared approach to it. I think having the online counsellor there is really good, use them as much as you need to during this time. Have you looked at other psychologists available where you're moving to?
Also remember that everyone here at ReachOut are here to help and support as much as we can too :)

Have you had/have bad experiences staying with someone?
So aside from what I already said about dirty dishes and rubbish (think mould growing in cups, that bad), also being loud and noisy late at night, taking drugs (thankfully I didn't feel pressured to get involved but it still did make me feel uncomfortable) and leaving stuff everywhere.

Hey @ruenhonx !
What a great session, I have had some horror housemates.... haha!
What is one thing you enjoy and one thing you dislike about staying with people?
Enjoy: Having someone to talk to and do fun things with. And cheaper rent!
Dislike: When they are gross and disgusting and leave piles of dirty dishes and don't pay their share of groceries and never empty the bins even when they overflow... Plenty more of that! haha

Hey @JA123 , a plan is a great start! It shows that you're serious about trying to find a way that works. Can you see anything in the plan that maybe didn't work or held you back?
When I was going through a really hard time one of my counsellors told me I had to forgive myself when I made mistakes. This sounded almost impossible. It took me a long time to do it and I still struggle with it a bit but I really think it made a huge difference in my recovery. Just because things don't always go to plan doesn't mean it's still not a step forward :)
How are you going this week?

Hey @JA123 , welcome to ReachOut! It's always good to see new people joining, so make yourself at home :)
Firstly, it sounds like you have a great support team around you which is really important, even though your friends don't live in the same state. It also seems that you're very aware of how your feeling and how this can affect you.
First off, great to have made those friends at uni, I actually think it can be quite hard sometimes because you move from class to class so quickly. It's a tough situation when you feel like you just want to hide and get through the class. How have you gone when you have seen your friends like this at uni? Sometimes I get the same feeling but being made to socialise and communicate with me can actually be a huge lift to my mood- even though it was probably the thing I was dreading most in the world. It is hard but maybe they might be helpful (without even knowing they are!).
One other idea, maybe talking to one of your friends interstate when you are feeling like this but have to go to uni? Because they understand you so well even just some support or understanding might be helpful too.
You sound like a really strong person, to have been fighting this and to be able to recognise it so well. Keep it up and let us know how you're going.
