thanks for giving your perspective as a female too. i totally agree, its very hidden amongst female friends, not like males who joke about it a bit more often. Its cool that you feel comfortable now though!

2. is it normal to watch porn? do you (or would you)? Have you ever fel embarrassed or ashamed about this?
I have... and yeah I've found personally it a bit of an awkward and embarassing topic, not something I would openly discuss but then my footy mates don't find anything awkward about and at times have shared a bit much, so everyone is different

I believe it is normal to watch porn. However, it's not something I watch because I find it confronting.
On the other hand, I have read erotica before. And there were times where I have felt ashamed for doing so.

Btw to clarify i don't agree with my family essentially choosing for me what was okay or not okay! I am not against porn
I also think my family really meant well and where trying to do their best, even if i don't agree these days.

yeah great point. curiosity definitely sparked my interest at first too! fair enough, keeping sexual activity or interests private is a value of many people and thats respected
wow @RevzZ thats an interesting stat! i wouldn't be surprised really! that taps into footy's response, curiosity about sex often leads to checking it out, at least thats what i think!

@ryvb3 i would definitely agree that some forms of porn are VERY confronting. i think thats why other forms can be really good for different people, because they might tap into different perspectives of sex, such as feminist porn or soft porn that are less about power play and more about intimacy and pleasure
