I think the way people say that men should be strong and be able to protect women is rubbish because I know some women that would definitely be able to protect themselves without someone else. I also agree that that can offend women as well since it's stating that they're weak and need protection.I also think the fact that men should be the ones that work all day and bring home money for the wife and the kids is rubbish because firstly, it's not easy to get a job in some professions and if you had a dad like my stepdad you wouldn't be getting any of the money he earns.

I'm gonna go ahead and answer this one myself.
I think that it shouldn’t mean anything too different from whatever it means to be a woman, but unfortunately we are socialised to behave a certain way. For example, growing up i’ve always felt like a big part of being a man was to be the “man of the house”. The strong guy who fixes things around the house and doesn’t seem to ever get upset (aka my dad).
