Dragons, Bullying And Us
Hey guys! My name is Aqua, I'm Russian and I'm 13. It may not be the worst case, though i am bullied for 5 years in a row since I've moved to Australia. I've been judged by my looks, my accent and even religion. To be honest, it sucks. Knowing that you'll come to school just to hear people laughing at you, or walking out and knowing you'll be bashed up for no reason. But I didn't come here to pout about my problems, but to actually help others in need. I know there are plenty of other teens struggling, and except for dealing with my problems, i want to help others by writing this letter. Guys, if they call you names, kick, punch and rumour about you, know that you are not the only one, and that there is a point to life. From time to time we can be depressed, sometimes I am too. But i don't give up. For 5 years straight I've been holding on, and you know what? It's worth it. Doesn't matter If you have no friends or family, doesn't matter if you're weird or crazy, I think everyone deserves to be included. And if you're not? Well, being the odd one is not too bad. At least you can enjoy the sunsets, clouds, air and the life you have. For those out there who are also bullied, you are welcome to write a reply on this message so we can get to know each other ^_^. Also This is going to be a dragon fans chat, so make sure to leave a comment down bellow and say what your favourite dragon is!

Oh i like this post a lot! Welcome @NightNadder23! I expect @N1ghtW1ng will be along at some stage, I think we can both guess what their favourite dragon might be.
Mine is Brightwing who is a very polite but also a bit weird and slightly scary faerie dragon from world of warcraft.
@NightNadder23 dragons are pretty darn fabulous aren't they? Bully can suck, but dragons sure don't, they burn! :D:D
I'm glad that RO has been able to help you 🙂
@NightNadder23 just because you asked so nicely, i've updated your permissions so you can change yours 🙂
But remember to stay anonymous!
To change it, you'll need to be on a computer, not a mobile. Then just click on your profile picture, and then click on it again when your profile page loads. It should let you upload a new image now 🙂
@NightNadder23 A Builder is someone who applies to volunteer helping out in the community. They do a bit of peer-support, help write blogs and also make cool threads to get conversations going (like this great thread you have made). I'm just about to start taking applications again, so if you're interested i'll send you the form when it goes up (hopefulllly next week!)
There's two types of Moderators, the first and most important group are the volunteer mods. To become a mod you have to be over 18, contribute as a Builder for at least 2 hours a week for a couple of months AND successfully apply. We can only afford to train 20 a year so it's a bit competitive!
The other type of Mod is like me, we work for RO and we help make sure everything is going okay and keep people safe if they're having trouble being safe themselves.
If you look under a username you'll see what rank or role they have in the community 🙂
Yeah, they're not too bad. Sorry for not responding earlier, i had school 😛
Hey @NightNadder23 and welcome to ReachOut!
Sorry to hear that you've been bullied since coming to Australia. You seem to be remarkably positive about your experience, and that's great to see. I hope Reach Out can be a source of community and support for you.
My favourite dragon... hmmm. Can I say the Hungarian Horntail from Harry Potter?
