Introduce yourself here- September 2021
It's finally spring and time to come out of winter hibernation! (just kidding) 😛
Here are this month's introduce yourself here questions- remember anyone is welcome to answer! 😄
Here are the questions in case you can't read my terrible writing (I got a bit lazy with the calligraphy 😬) and so you can copy and paste them if you need!) 😛
1. What is your favourite thing about spring? (hehe that rhymes)
2. Do you have any important male role models or father figures in your life? What have you learned from them?
3. What's your favourite plant and animal?
4. Guess what tree I've drawn in the background! (hint it blooms in late spring and has purple flowers)
5. How can you check in on people or animals you care about this month?
6. What's your take on spring cleaning?
Comments
1. What is your favourite thing about spring?
It makes me think of my sister because she was born in Spring and Spring reflects her warmth and kindness really well
2. Do you have any important male role models or father figures in your life? What have you learned from them?
Actually my dad... I learned unconditional love and loyalty from him
3. What's your favourite plant and animal?
I love Jacaranda trees and cats are 100% my favourite animals (especially ginger ones)
4. Guess what tree I've drawn in the background!
Is it a Jacaranda? How awesome!! 😃
5. How can you check in on people or animals you care about this month?
I think I'll send some notes to people I know who are in lockdown saying how valued, appreciated and cared for they are 💛
6. What's your take on spring cleaning?
Ummm... Not fun? Cleaning isn't my thing. 🤣
1. Rain, rain rain! With online learning I don't have to worry about walking to school in the wet weather and can just enjoy the spring rain from inside.
"For still there are so many things
That I have never seen:
in every wood in every spring
there is a different green." ~J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
2. Male role models? Eh... not really. I'm not close with my dad. I *suppose* there is this one para I have who acts as one to my main para, but I don't know if that counts.
3. My favourite plants are foxglove and hemlock (there was a time when I was obsessed with the names of poisonous plants and they stuck) and my favourite animals are birds of the falcon family, foxes and ermines/stoats. The last one is mostly because I remembered Pan taking that shape once in Northern Lights by Philip Pullman.
4. Is that a jacaranda tree?
5. Text or call my friends, go on an evening stroll with mum.
6. We don't really do spring cleaning in my family, but it sounds like a useful thing to do.
I like the rain too @Mulberry_Owl 🙂 Sorry, what's a 'para'? 😅 Not sure I've heard that before
Yes it is my attempt at drawing a jacaranda tree 🤣 Good job getting that!
Aww is that a gif of a stoat?? 😍 So cute!
That's fine 😅 it's not a very well-known term outside the MaDD and ID communities. A para is basically a character from a daydream, usually with detailed backstories and to whom the daydreamer has an emotional attachment to. Think of it like how some people get attached to literary characters and look up to them, except that in this case they aren't in a book but exist in our heads.
Ohh okay that makes sense @Mulberry_Owl! I definitely look up to literary characters sometimes! I'm still lowkey not over the death of one of the father/mentor figures I read in a book once. I feel like a para definitely counts as a role model! What are they like? 🙂 (if that's okay to ask!)
Umm I don't really know, actually 😛
They're like dad figures to some of my other paras but they're also quite multifaceted so it's a bit hard to nail down their 'real' personality 🙃
Honestly that's so cool! I think it's hard for us to nail down our personalities too. It's nice that you have so many paras that are multifaceted 😊
