Off to a tiring start
So holidays have just started for me, but not in a pleasant way.
Perhaps its cos I've been burnt out but I hate tutoring so much, and especially going into Year 11 I highly doubt my parents will let me quit. On top of that my bank account has been compromised, its very frustrating that's its taking so long for it to be resolved and that i can't open another bank account as I can't find my passport (parents have it hidden). I wish I could simply remove unauthorised devices that are logged onto my bank account, unacceptable.
Its not fun waiting until Monday, especially with both tutor homework and school holiday homework I don't want to do. Also with the uncertainty of COVID, it makes not having a desire to buy things feel even more unnatural.

Sorry to hear that you've been feeling too tired and burnt out. There is a lot of pressure that society and parents sometimes place on students, and you guys deserve to feel more free and have a manageable study schedule.
I'm guessing that you are already on Christmas break, but still have tutoring and homework set out for the break? That would also make me feel drained so I don't blame you. But on the bright side, you are working hard for your future.
As others have suggested I hope you are still able to enjoy your week and find ways for self-care.
Hope you are well 💙

Hey @yeah_it_tahtperson, it's so lovely to hear from you! 😊
I'm sorry to hear that your holidays haven't started out in the best way. It sounds like it has been incredibly stressful, especially after hearing that your bank account has been compromised. Were you able to get in contact with your bank to put some extra safety measures in place to get through the weekend?
You also mentioned that you've been feeling a bit Burntout, which in itself is a horrible feeling. Have you been able to find something that eases the feeling of burnout at all, maybe something that makes you feel even just a little bit better after a hard day? If you are up for a bit of a read, we have a really great article on Burnout which also explores things you can do to help manage it. I wonder if maybe it will help at all?
Thinking of you 💜
@Courtney-RO Hey!
So I'm trying to work around my bank to resolve this issue, but I don't think it'll be resolved before the weekend ends. I plan on going into a branch in person because I'm impatient lol.
I'm pretty lost in what to do to cope with being burnt out, I hope the article helps.
That's really frustrating to hear that it might not be resolved before the end of the weekend @yeah_it_tahtperson How does that make you feel? Sometimes going into a branch can make things a little easier, or at the very least, it gives you peace of mind knowing that it has been taken care of. Some banks also have an online chat option too, I wonder if maybe they might be able to help you at all?
I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling so lost, as someone who also struggles with burnout, I can certainly understand where you're coming from. I have found that actively setting time aside for myself, and doing something that's just for me, has really helped me be able to manage it a bit better. Is there something that you love doing, any hobbies or interests that you enjoy? I know you've already got a bit to read, but these articles on Self-Care and Engaging in your own self-care, offer some really great tips too!
