Transgender Day of Visibility

Tomorrow (march 31st) is Transgender Day of Visibility.

Transgender people face a lot of discrimination and hate just because they be who they really are. There's so much stigma facing trans* people and this day aims to break through that stigma and discrimination and say that trans* is ok and there are people fighting for the trans* to have the same rights as everyone else.

This day is also personal for me, I'm not ashamed to say I am trans but I have experienced hate and lack of understanding from many people. I want to break out of that and hope one day we will be seen as equal to cis members of society.

@N1ghtWing I find binders more comfortable than bras.

And that post was meant to say new binders lol.

Reviving this thread because it's trans day of visibility again today. Whatever gender you are be proud.

I'm proud to be ftm and tomorrow marks 6 months on testosterone 🙂

For those who may not know, the image above, is the transgender flag (minus the text) Heart

It was indeed transgender day of visibility on the weekend - there was an amazing parade in Sydney to celebrate.

Hey @redhead,
Thanks for sharing about this, I never would have known otherwise and it's definitely something that should be known about. 🙂 It sucks that trans (why do you include the * at the end? If it's alright to ask) people experience hate and rudeness from other people. But with all the amazing people out there doing good things for the trans community it will get better 🙂

Do you have any plans for tomorrow?
