Hey @Lost_Space_Explorer5, I'm speaking from my experience in times when I have experienced chronic pain and don't mean to persuade you towards any direction, because your situation may be very different to mine. I am a big believer in trying many different modalities to heal from pain and for whatever reason some modalities that have worked in the past have not necessarily worked in a current circumstance. Due to this I am very big on trying different things until I find something that will help me during a particularly chronic pain episode. The pain specialist may help you and if it doesn't my strong recommendation is to look for a different modality because in my experience something or a combination of things end up working. The time I take to heal my body during a particular episode of pain generally depends on what I need to work through during and sometimes it can take a few months. I am now coming out of what may be my longest stint as I was in chronic pain for over a year and this is while be very active with different therapies. I myself can be a healing junkie and go quite hard, so I understand not all people want to be as hardcore as I am in this regard. I personally don't look for too many diagnoses as I can get wrapped up in analysing and doing my head in. I want enough of a diagnosis to know what I am treating but otherwise I want to try and be in my body as much as I can, which can be so difficult for me when I am in so much pain.
That's enough about me. So the point of my rant lol is keep looking for a modality/ies that work for you and until your body has come into its equilibrium. I have witnessed you being quite reflective as well and believe there will be great teachings from your pain. Of course, if I am speaking out of turn here, I do sincerely apologise. I hope this answers your question.
