Hi,

Although I can never be in your position and imagine your situation, I  would like to enlighten you on something that happened recently in my life. I moved to a new school and everyone from my old school stated that I had changed so much and that I am a completely different person, merely just based on my Instagram. However, my best friend, who still stayed in contact with me, knew that I had not changed and that I, in fact, had just become more confident and outgoing. I knew at the end of the day, I had not been negatively impacted by the change, but positively, even though everyone would state that I have changed considerably. At the end of the day, you know yourself better than anyone else does. So, take a decision that reflects what you really think of yourself.

As for your situation, is there any way you could overcome the language/cultural barrier? Maybe try and sit down and in real life, and have a conversation with him? It is the most healthiest way to go around your situation before taking in any advice from family or your outer circle.

At the end of the day, it is your relationship, and you know your boyfriend better than they would.

If you need advice, we are always here to support you!!
