@Lost_Space_Explorer5 It sounds like your cat brings you so much joy. It's so great to have such a wonderful pal around who makes us happy. I find animals are just amazing for this and love animals for what they bring to people's lives. Is your cat old now? It's understandable to be worried about what can them sick. Sometimes though it could be the simplest of things that can trigger tummy upsets in animals and to see them suffer can be heartbreaking. 

Your volunteer gig sounds great! Day 1 is always just finding your feet and you'll be finding your feet most likely for a few weeks. It's normal to be establishing your boundaries on the phone, particularly during times when some people are not receiving the connections they need and they just want to talk.
