thank you @Taylor-RO and @Eden1717 for your replies! I can understand why, from a mental health professional's perspective, a diagnosis is not always the best course of action. I am 19, and in the past two years a lot of fairly difficult things have happened, and I've also noticed a lot of puzzle pieces about my past coming together -- I have had a lot of difficulty recalling whole periods of time.
I have struggled with anxiety and depression for a good few years now, and a part of me wishes I could just attribute everything I'm feeling to those two things, but there's just that nagging voice in my head telling me something's not right. Which led me to doing my own research, finding that a lot of my unfamiliar new symptoms align with BPD etc etc
I appreciate the insight. I guess I was afraid of admitting to a GP that I had done my own research. I don't want it to come across like I'm trying to self-diagnose myself or anything, I just desparately want answers haha. ♥️
