I can definitely understand that @Lost_Space_Explorer5 , it can be hard to hold onto hope sometimes. Thank you for letting me know that you're safe. What keeps you going when you're feeling low?

I used to do that a lot, too! It's nice to know that you're not the only person going through these wild thoughts and feelings sometimes!

When I'm feelng a bit overwhelmed by my thoughts, I take a moment to be still and quiet, maybe listen to some soft music and just chill for a minute until I get my bearings. Other times I try to really commit to being present in the moment that I'm in, whether that be studying, working, or even just watching a movie or something. I like to say to myself "I didn't come here to obsess about whether I'm [whatever the thought is], I came here to [watch this movie, hang out with my cat, cook dinner]". That can be really hard sometimes because usually ignoring thoughts can make me more anxious but in the long run, it helps me realise that I don't need to answer my mind's million questions and 'what ifs'. Playing games helps too for some light distraction.

You said your psychiatrist said that lockdown has probably made things worse. Do they know about your intrusive thoughts?
