Thanks for the encouragement @Courtney-RO

Its sooooo amazing just to be getting a little relief. My symptoms have downgraded from a crippling migraine to a bad headache that is painful but I can actually deal with.

I do have something exciting.! Tomorrow I'm catching up with my 3 main friends from high school. The four of us haven't been able to catch up since July holidays, and it's so hard to organise as 2 are busy at school, 2 of us r at TAFE, 2 of us work... but it's finally worked for tomorrow! We're going to san churros (yum) and then we're coming back to my place.

something beautiful happened today

I have a little sister, 2.5yrs younger than me. She is such a lovely person and we are similar but so different and get on really well.

after I posted, she got home from school. They have an english assignment to write a poem. She decided to write hers about mental illness. Basically, about what I've gone through from her perspective! It isn't due for over a week, but she started today and was on a roll and it just all came out. It almost made my mum cry, and makes me want to cry.

It's called 'unstoppable,' which is the name of my favourite song. It was just so nice. It talks about how hard it is living with a mental illness, how no one really understands how hard it is except the person going through it. But that I'm really strong for surviving. And how family is important and are there for you. And just be kind to everyone because you never know what someone is going through!

I’m so proud of her because it shows what a compassionate person she is. And she hasn’t just watched me go through this. But watched me and gained empathy and understanding. And I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Like what she wrote was so accurate.

One of my favourite lines was, ‘She’s a hero, my hero.’ 😭

And the start of the poem says, ‘dedicated to my sister.’ 😭😭😭

And this is kinda funny...

Last year for my English exam, when I was super depressed, suicidal, harming... I wrote a story in my exam which was honestly just a vent about what I was going through. The teacher who marked it wrote ‘concerning’ next to it and the way some teachers acted around me later, I knew they knew what I wrote and were (rightly) concerned.

I had this same English teacher when I was at school this year. I wrote a really intense poem about living with depression (still misdiagnosed at that stage).

My sister also has this English teacher, and now she’s written this poem! It perfectly complements the poem I wrote, and I’ve never even told my family about my poem.

So this English teacher is getting a full dose of content about my mental illness 😂
