@Janine-RO my oh my this is beautiful! Downright one of my favourite threads ever! I saw your post before logging in and I had to go back and try to find it just so I could have a go!
It's a bit of a brain dump but I still wanted to share it. I also cut out some things that I wanted to keep to myself
You’ve had some real challenges to deal with recently, like…
navigating new jobs, healing my inner child and having hope and starting to overwrite my past experience, learning to adult and manage my finances. Dealing with paperwork which I hate to pieces
I’m grateful that you got through tough times by…
Keeping an open mind and facing mistakes, practicing self care, reminding myself to rest, breath, getting lots of sleep, making my surroundings as nice as possible, accepting things I cannot change, believing that I am competent and that I can find a solution to things, learning new skills. Knowing that tough times will pass
Over the past two years, you learnt more about yourself. You learnt…
That things can change, that I am capable of growing, that learning is a painful but fruitful process. That people may view me differently than I view myself.
Starting a task early can make things easier. Everybody is a little bit lost. My own progress is still awesome even if it doesn’t seem like much compared to some other people.
Any task that’s new and makes me uncomfortable will expand my mind and teach me something, and may be I won’t be as scared next time
I’m excited for the future because…
I will continue to learn and grow from my mistakes and I would like to be more assertive. I have learned that starting small is better that procrastinating due to stress. It’s okay to be anxious and do it anyway.
