It's so hard choosing songs that reflect how I feel about myself, but I gave it a try:
The chorus to Deeper Water - Deadstar reminds me of how many obstacles I've faced in the past few years, and it's often felt like someone has hurled me out into the deep end to work some big life lessons out on my own. The lyric "I save myself, I'm saving you" makes me think about how the most important lesson I've taken from these challenges is that I am no use to anyone if I'm not there for myself.
The chorus to Eventually-Tame Impala represents my sense of hope when life has felt hard. I'm proud that I always find a way to hope that things will get better even when there's no clear sign of when it will.
And finally, my all-time cheesy mood booster, Break My Stride - Matthew Wilder.
