Hey @DruidChild
I’ve experience something very similar. I had to apply for DSP twice (I have BPD and treatment resistant depression) because I was knocked back the first time but after a letter from my psychiatrist I was approved. Do you currently have access to any health clinicians? If not, I highly suggest you connect with one. Start with your GP see if they can refer you or check out the services @Philippa-RO has linked. It’s important not just for DSP but your safety as well. If you find someone you connect with explain to them what’s been happening and I’m sure they will advice you on next steps.
I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing so many debilitating emotions. It’s important to us that you are safe because you are worth it and valid. 24 hours is a lot especially with what you’ve been experiencing. I’m so glad you are okay and safe right now and I know how exhausted you would be. Health is the first priority and it sounds like having an advocate will help you a lot in terms of navigating the social welfare system. I’m pretty sure everyone has had grievances with Centrelink before. Is there anything you can do for yourself just to take care of yourself? Do you have a self-care plan? Please feel free to use us as a sounding board if you agree/disagree with our advice. We might not physically be present but we are all here for you 💜
