Hey @Jardin, it sounds like there's a lot for you to consider right now. I can completely understand your hesitation about living in NSW by yourself - I live away from home and went through lockdown away from family, and it was really difficult feeling like that support from my loved ones wasn't immediately available.

With that being said, I also see how moving to QLD has some drawbacks as well, particularly if uni is more of a chore than something you enjoy. I guess it might be worth weighing up the pros and cons of each option and seeing which location seems the most liveable for you. Do you think finishing uni earlier would be more important to your wellbeing than living close to your family?

If you do decide to move back to NSW, what kind of support do you have (or need) down there to get by? For example, I made a deal with my family that since we live apart, we have to visit each other once every month or so. Sometimes, I travel up to see them, and other times they come down to see me, but we make sure we get together as often as possible so that I don't feel like the distance means I don't have support.

You mentioned that you've considered taking a gap year too, which sounds like it could really give you some time to decide what works for you. What part of taking a gap year makes you nervous?

There's lots of options @Jardin but remember that there is no wrong answer. It's absolutely about what feels right for you and making sure that you have the support you need to enjoy your life and look after yourself 🥰
