Hi @cow_rider ,
Thank you for sharing what has been going through your mind with starting a new school.
First day jitters are not uncommon. As much as it can open the door for new and exciting opportunities, we read that it can also be a source of anxiety and stress. I'm sorry hear that you have been bullied in the past, and this has affected your ability to meet new people.
Have you been to the school for a visit? If so, were you able to recall what students were wearing? It's important you feel comfortable with what you are wearing. If there are any issues with school uniform, perhaps you or your family can speak to the school about it? The new school may have spare uniforms they can provide, including your sport uniform.
This video may be helpful for you. It goes through some of what school life throws at you, including friendships, exams, and bullying. At the same time, here is a little tip sheet on what you can do if you find yourself bullied.
And if you are wanting to make new friends, but have a few hesitations, this tip sheet may be of use to you.
Remember, you are not alone. All the best with next week. We look forward to hearing how it goes for you.
