Hi @Rara

I think this is a fantastic post as many of us can understand the struggle with the current cost of living. It is great that you have mentioned ways that you reduce stress and emotions about this topic.

I currently hold a casual job so hours each week aren't guaranteed, which is very difficult in this present time. Being casual can mean that I have 1 shift a week, 3 shifts a week, or nothing at all for weeks on end. This means that I have to be more conscious of my spending since I will not know if I will get any work in 2-3 weeks' time etc. As such, it can be overwhelming to be a 'tight ass' and strict with how much I spend. However, it helps me save and I guess it allows me to appreciate the smaller things in life like having a cuddle to a movie, watching tv with my dog, watching a movie with the family, etc.

With the cost of living, I try to focus my energy on the fact that I currently can still afford some luxuries (getting my eyebrows done, going out for dinner, etc). I also try to remind myself that money does come and go, and some months I will have a lot less, and other months I will have a bit more. Thus, reduces panic and stress about finances in the present.
