It sounds like you've really been trying your best to find a good friendship in someone, but nobody has really clicked for you yet. I do agree with Chloe, in that perhaps, it's just that in your high school with limited people, it's difficult to find someone you really click with. That's in no way a reflection of you or being a 'failure' at finding a good friend. When you have a wider circle, it's naturally more likely that you'll find someone with similar interests with you, can relate to your experiences more, and is willing to put in the effort to maintain a good and supportive friendship. 

 

Do you have extracurriculars you could start now, where you may share a similar interest with people and connect with them better? 

 

What you're looking for in a friendship is not a stretch or 'asking for too much' by any means. You deserve a friendship where you feel that they support you and are excited about your accomplishments etc.
