Hey there, I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling burnt out and that there is lots of academic pressure. It is the worst feeling. I know the feeling to well as I tend to overcompensate my time and leave myself with not a lot of time to do anything.

Year 12 is a very stressful year and is great that you are acknowledging that you are feeling burnt out, when I was in year 12 I experienced the same thing however I was able to implemt a  few life changes that made things a little easier to cope during an extremely stressful time.

My advice is as follows:

When I saw my therapist she helped me experience some clarity, it also felt like a weight off my shoulders. I know not everyone thrives with therapy, so its important to do what you think. Even giving lifeline or beyond blue a call for a chat, sometimes talking about it can really help :).

Excersisizing can be really helpful to help break up the day, excersizing is also great for mental health! go to the gym, go for a walk, play with your dog, do something to keep your body active. releasing endorphins can massively reduce stress.

Mindfulness is a great tool when things feel overwhelming, it allows you to stay present, deep breathing or using the app smiling mind was really beneficial to me.

If you have things that you are overcompensting with, such as working too many hours during year 12, too many social commitments, feel free to scale back on those. It is okay to take on less work while you are felling burnt out.

When I feel overwhelmed I make a to do list, sometimes making your bed or eating breakfast may be more of a challenge when you are burnt out. acknowledge that. but try make a list of thing to do throughout the day.

It is the best feeling when you tick them off!!

I am really proud of you for reaching out, sending a virtual hug your way. You got this!!
