I completely relate! I find it harder when I don't have any plans for the day. Definitely having a motivation helps. I usually have 2 showers a day because a quick one in the morning always makes me wake up and feel a little better. Also I'm someone who, if I don't eat breakfast soon enough I'll feel sick so maybe a nice yummy breakfast can be a motivator too! I think setting a goal would be good too because I find achievement a great motivator. Could be as little as getting up by 9am and then try 8:30 and then 8:15 etc so that it becomes routine and then work out what time you want to be asleep by and be awake by. Going to sleep at a reasonable time can also make it easier. Also, when I have to set an alarm I usually don't like waking up with a loud noise so I have an alarm that isn't too loud and is nicer to wake up to.
