I've heard similar things, for example when we say may mean things to ourselves, that 'you wouldn't say that about your best friend' or 'you wouldn't say that about your younger self.' 

Exactly, treat yourself how you would treat your best friend! 😇

I'm slowly getting the hang of it, but I have a long way to go for sure!
