Bullying No Way- How can we stand up to cyberbullying?
This year, the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence has been extended into a week long initiative: Bullying No Way: National week of action.
If you're looking to get help for bullying, there's things you can do and people you can talk to. Check out our urgent help page if you need to talk with someone right away.
The week runs from August 12–16 and reminds communities of the importance of working together to address and prevent bullying and violence. The theme for 2024 is 'Everyone belongs', which encourages us to embrace everyone's differences and stand up for each other to promote connection and protection against bullying.
In the spirit of this theme we'd like to open up a discussion about how we can work together to foster a sense of belonging and safety in online spaces. One way we can do this is by being an Upstander when we witness someone being bullied.
💬 A question for you... How can we be Upstanders to cyberbullying?
We'd love to hear your thoughts! If you're looking for some ideas, you might like to check out this article from eSafety, our article about how to be an Upstander, or our recent social media post.
