Hi @Dye_Ella thank you for sharing this with us

I'm so sorry that you and your friends had to listen to that question and also be put in a position that you were uncomfortable. don't beat yourself up too much about not confronting him, if that happened to me, i wouldn't know what to say to someone's face either. You did the right thing by telling a trusted teacher and also discussing it with your friends after it happened.

I'm sorry that the outcome of telling a teacher may not have been what you expected but it is good that at least someone is aware of his behaviour. Are you able to talk to that teacher again or another teacher you trust about minimising the amount that you have to work with this guy in the future?

Also it is very good that you are able to speak to your parents about this. The way you feel matters and you have the right to feel safe at school. Would you feel comfortable letting your parents talk and advocate to the school on your behalf about not having to work with this guy?

Its understandable that you feel guilty. I hate calling people out or 'ratting' them out but sometimes it is needed, just like this time was. What he said was inappropriate, so you did the right thing.
