The effects of pop culture on guys is really underestimated and really easy to over look when you don't identify as such, which makes me sad because it's not good enough that they don't feel supported/feel like it's okay to be supported
I never really stopped properly til my guy started to feel the pressure to pull of the athletica look/lifestyle. It genuinely does make him feel inadequate and that's really just not okay

You are so right @CeeGee it is definitely not okay and guys are always underestimated but they probably have it as bad or worse than women.**Believe in the power of you because you are your own hero**

It's actually quite funny, I see all these buff athletic types everywhere but I don't find them attractive at all. Stay strong guys against the pull to be like that. Not all girls are attracted to that type.My entire life can be described in one sentence: It didn't go as planned and that's okay. ツ

It really isn't Ceegee, I definitely agree with you. To be honest, I don't think I've given it as much thought and attention as it deserves.

Have you taken any steps towards better accepting your body?
Well I mentioned earlier my pores. To be honest it wasn't until I saw that buzzfeed article on the dermatologist who posts videos of blackheads being popped on insta that I stopped thinking of them as huge.
I try to focus on the good bits rather than the bad.

I think that's a very sensible approach stonepixie 🙂
I don't know if my pores are big or not - it's probably best I don't find out!

What do you think about the concept of being ‘healthy at every size’ (that supports people in adopting health habits for the sake of health and well-being (rather than weight control)?

I think it is amazing! I love the concept and not everyone is a size 8 when they are fit as fit can be. I know a girl who is atleast 2 sizes bigger than me, yet she is more fit than I am. Weight control is so dangerous because there is so much at state. There is more to a person than a number on a scale and that number may be unrealistic for their body type. This is why I hate (Uh! I used the word HATE!) the Biggest Loser so much!

So true stonepixie. I know I'm a lot fitter and eat healthier than a lot of people I know who are smaller than me. In the long run I'm hopefully the one who will benefit because I try and take care of my body

The Biggest Loser is scary because losing weight at that rate and like that is scary and not healthy at all. I stopped watching it, I just couldnt get over how unsafe it was. @stonepixie**Believe in the power of you because you are your own hero**

I walk everywhere that I can and when the weather clears up, I shall walk all the way to one of my appointments because the weather is a lot friendlier for long walks. 🙂 I try to eat healthy and always look at the sodium content of those satchet thingys. Never add salt to my meals, and I attempt to exercise and like to practice mindfulness.

I don't have a TV, but the whole concept of the biggest loser is very scary! Losing excessively large amounts of weight in small amounts of time is not good

What are some healthy behaviours you do for your body?
I eat a reasonably healthy and balanced diet, (with treats too!) I make sure I move my body, by going for walks, jogs, doing yoga, or cycling. And I get an epic amount of sleep each night 🙂 I think it's important not to push your body too much, and make sure you sometimes have days of rest if you feel like your body needs it.
I need to work on drinking more water though, so I don't get dehydrated so often.
