How do you look after your physical and mental wellbeing whilst travelling?
Make sure you get enough sleep.

Who do you like going travelling with?
I don't really mind whether it's family or friends or with school or church.

Do you think travelling benefits your physical, mental and spiritual health? Why/Why not?
Yeh. It's allows us to have fun, try new things, step outside our comfort zone, make new friends etc. You can also go on religious holidays which is great for the soul.

Stepping outside of your comfort zone can be so good for you @redhead!

I've done it quite a bit whilst traveling and I always feel so proud of myself!

It really is @redhead!

Time to get thinking!

Do you think travelling benefits your physical, mental and spiritual health? Why/Why not?

Physical: Very relaxing good for your bodyyyyy

Mental: Very relaxing good for your mental health (for a month or so after my travel I coudnt help thinking how lucky I was as a person and how many good opportunities and experiences I have)

Spiritial: There is a lot of benefits especially if your in a tranquil environment and you get a lot of time to realise whats really important in life (like travelling and being with close friends) ---> dont evne know if thats spiritual but whatever 😜

What a really interesting question!

I think ultimately yes.

I did some travelling by myself a few years ago, and found myself feeling quite lonely and sad a lot of the time, but I learnt to enjoy my own company, and feel comfortable following my own agenda and not worrying about tagging along with others.

I learnt a lot about myself, and challenged a lot of my (probably unhelpful habits and obsessions), which I think ultimately led to my proper recovery from some mental health issues I had at the time. Breaking out of my daily routine really helped me in the long run 🙂

Also, it's just an awesome, fun, healthy thing to do, and you usually walk a lot and get really fit. And climb mountains and take in amazing views of the world and feel happy to be alive 🙂

It sounds like you had a very interesting experience @Georgie!

I've also learnt recently how to enjoy my own company. Are you glad you went through those challenges? Would you do it all again?

Oh absolutely! I think it's wonderful to challenge yourself in these ways. It really helps to reconnect with who you are and what you value. My favourite bit was taking myself out to dinner, and just being like 'yep, I am totally by myself and I am still enjoying this experience'.

I have to say, I still prefer travelling with someone else though 🙂

Following on from @Georgie's point on traveling with people:

Question 7: Who do you like going travelling with?

originally posted on 22-06-2015 9:25 PM

I prefer to go travelling by myself. But large groups or close friends are also okay.
