So that was a really interesting discussion sesh tonight everybody! Many good tips and tricks and a whole lot of positive talk flying around, thanks everybody for their contributions 🙂

Here is the wrap up for the night:

1. What does your environment mean to you?
Environments can be physical or social concepts, and both can play a positive or negative role in your life. Becoming more comfortable by "getting to know" your environment is a great way to live.

2.In what environment do you think you are the most productive?
Some pretty diverse responses here, just shows that different people function best in their own way! Some people prefer to work with friends whilst others prefer independence, some natural and stimulating environments whilst others prefer as few distractions as possible!

3. What are some positive things you can do to make your environment more productive?
Cleanliness seems to be next to godliness with this one! Organizing your space, or taking cues from a workspace you function well are great ideas. Also a nice culpa and plenty of snacks seem to be popular 🙂 Making the tough decisions, self-discipline and MINDFULNESS are all great suggestions.

4.Have you ever felt like you have taken control of your environment for the better?
A lot of you mentioned having to make tough decisions to take control, an it seems to have paid off and helped people to move into a positive light. It takes a lot of strength to do this!

5. Have you ever felt like your environment has controlled you?
We often take social cues from our environment, but the challenge lies in recognising the fine line between "influence" and "control". It helps if you have a solid sense of self and ensure your environment supports your values.

6.What do you think can come from having a negative space or environment?
Environments can impact us in powerful ways and "put a dim light" on everything. Unhappiness, wasted time and effort, anxiety and a lack of passion are all negative consequences of this. However there is a lot to learn about oneself through these experiences

7.Are there any ways you can become more conscious of the effect your environment is having on you?
Mindfullness, self-reflection, asking ourselves the hard questions and taking a step back and recognising your achievements

8. How has your environment changed or evolved over your life?
Moving away from your parents, changing jobs and friendship groups and learning from all the mistakes everybody makes from the growing up thing!

9. What about your social environment? Who is your support network? Who in your life helps create your positive space?
"your friends are your family you choose for yourself"! A few close friends seems to be more fulfilling than lots of acquaintances. It's great to have a solid support network of family, friends, and a psych or GP

10. What are some ways you can handle people who aren't helping you create a positive vibe in your life?
Conflict can be hard, but sometimes necessary. Talking to people can work, but sometimes it might be best to cut the ties altogether if it's a toxic relationship.
