Hi all! Can you believe it's December? For me, I think the year has felt incredibly long overall, but the last few months have gone by very fast!

I try to make my wrapping as neat as possible with whatever I wrap...
I do feel tempted to wrap my cat like this first gif ... but haven't yet
What's your favourite holiday tradition?
Probably going and finding all the Christmas light displays, it's magical sometimes 🙂

There's so many good ones! Maybe ask me when I've heard more xmas carols 😛
What's your favourite holiday movie?
I don't watch many holiday movies, although I loved the Home Alone serious, I always thought they were interesting 🙂
What was your favourite thing about 2019?
I've had some amazing memories this year, and a big one was finally getting employment and finishing my certificate 4 in accounting/bookkeeping.
I've also been asked to photograph a friends' wedding this year which is awesome too! 🙂
What are you looking forward to in 2020?
Starting and doing my Diploma in Accounting 🙂 Finding new employment (Hopefully something more supportive) And continuing to moderate on the forums, this place is truly special

I don't mind plum pudding, but is very dense! I have never tried eggnog, maybe this year?
Do you have a particular gift-wrapping technique?
I loveeeeee gift wrapping and am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to gift wrapping!
What's your favourite holiday tradition?
Seeing my family!

What's your favourite holiday movie?
Every year I used to watch miracle on 34th street with my grandparents.
What was your favourite thing about 2019?
This year was all about growth and my favourite thing was travelling to Europe with my mum- something I've always wanted to do and was so great to be able to share that experience with her.
What are you looking forward to in 2020?
Next year I am looking forward to challenging myself mentally and physically by doing a few multi-day hikes, and returning to uni studies!

I'm not a huge fan of plum pudding unless it has HEAPS of custard, hate eggnog. Just so I don't sound like a total Grinch I do love some Xmas-y foods- love making gingerbread, I make a pretty good Xmas Pavlova and eating seafood at Xmas is pretty much my favourite thing ever.
Favourite Xmas movie: Too many to count! I love Elf, am a sucker for Love Actually even though it's a bit cheesy, and like a bit of Lethal Weapon and Home Alone.
Favourite holiday tradition: I love going to see the Xmas lights near us, it's always a really awesome atmosphere with kids everywhere, Mr Whippy vans, and incredible lights. If we're near the beach from Xmas it's also pretty hard to beat a Xmas morning beach swim, followed by festivities, then a late evening swim to wrap it all up.

I hope everyone is going well, the last weeks before Xmas always seem so busy and stressful, and it can be easy to lose sight of what is lovely about the break - thanks so much for starting this thread, I love reading everyone's answers
Hey everyone! Thanks to @Hozzles for making this december introduce yourself thread with so many great prompts! I'm not new but I'm happy to answer all these questions and introduce my self to new members!

I loveee plum pudding with custard! Eggnog not so much though 😮

I don't think I have any technique at all when it comes to gift-wrapping 😛 I'm always afflicted by 'the gap' when I underestimate how much wrapping I need for the gift 😂
What's your favourite holiday tradition?
Having a christmas dinner with the fam!

All I want for christmas is you is definitely a go to song for me :D!

Favourite holiday movie would be How the Grinch stole christmas with jim carrey! Loved that movie 😄
(and I would say that Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie because it involves halloween characters and a halloween premise, whereas the christmas aspect of the movie is more of a plot device)
What was your favourite thing about 2019?
I graduated from university! Looking for a part-time/casual job right now but it's nice to have a break from school and study and all that! 😄
What are you looking forward to in 2020?
The many new video games that are releasing next year!

Yes, plum pudding is amazing with custard! I haven't tried eggnog in a long time, so I'm not sure about that one, though!

Honestly... scrunching it all up, wrapping it in tape and hope for the best. I always try to, uh, recruit someone else's help to wrap presents. I'm shocking at it. 😂

I love the Wiggle's Christmas album 😂😂. Also, maybe Jingle Bell Rock (probably because Mean Girls, tbh). All I Want for Christmas is You is also great (such a long title! 😂). OH and how can I forget What's This? from Nightmare Before Christmas!!

Honestly, probably Nightmare Before Christmas... 😂. It's a Christmas movie! It's right there in the title! Halloween in the movie only goes for like a few minutes! They're spooky but it's Christmas! 😂😂😂. Hm, I really need to watch more Christmas movies, honestly...
What was your favourite thing about 2019?
Volunteering! It has lead me to so many opportunities this year, including flying to both Brisbane and Sydney. So yes, joining RO is up there!
Also, I keep forgetting I came out to my immediate family as gay this year... so that happened. They've been really accepting! Especially my mum, I remember a time she was on the more homophobic side but now she stands up for others when she reads something negative online and she always points out Pride-themed events! ❤ I also attended a few pride events and reconnected with an old friend!
I'm also sort of glad I've made it through it all, 2019 was a really tough year and I can recognize some of the harder experiences have made me stronger and more aware of myself + what I need to do to grow and improve.
What are you looking forward to in 2020?
Hopefully (finally) completing my Bachelors and getting into honours! I hope the year is easier on me, and I hope I can become a happier and healthier version of me and do all the things I want to do. ❤
