Happy first day of Winter!!! Can you believe we are in June already?! Seems like just yesterday we were in January how can it be June! For those who are studying Semester 1 is slowly finishing up and you're no doubt dealing with lots of assignments and final assessments.
So we have put together a fun distraction in the form of extremely fun (and random) questions so whether you're just new to the forums or have been around for ages come and answer this months Introduce Yourself!

I decided to do a glitter part in my hair for an event, and my scalp glittered for months after.

Not really sure - maybe Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Friends, just so the Friends saga could continue. First episode would be Joey and Chandler trying to solve cases, I'd watch it. Oh, and Phoebe is totally Gina. And Joey is Jake. And Monica is Santiago - the more I think about this, the more I think B99 is actually Friends in disguise.

What's the strangest thing you have in your handbag/school bag/laptop bag/top secret mission bag?
If I'm running late, I'll chuck everything I think I might need that day into a bag. I'm constantly walking around with a meal, a whole bottle of perfume, spare change of clothes, sometimes comfortable shoes in there - it's a bottomless pit.

While I was at the rowing sheds I slipped on the pontoon like a cartoon character my legs went straight up in the air and my slides fell off.
I am immune to cold because I do rowing in the winter when it's 5 am and 4 degrees. We are only allowed to wear zootie and nothing else so it's was initially freezing now I don't get cold.
I can't choose... maybe free rein and Ja'mie I think that would be funny.
My step sister is like 21 and still is oppsesed with cosplay and makes all these outfits and I always find glitter in the bathroom. She also leaves sewing needles everywhere so my feet find them 🔴
Walk. I absolutely love the rain it's so nice to row in but it's also really calming

My friend and I were doing some exercise late at night at the gym and decided to try and do some chin ups...well I didn't even make it up onto the bar...I fell down and fractured my wrist!
How do you stay warm in Winter?
I sleep with a hot water bottle EVERY night in winter.
What's the strangest place you have found glitter?
Is there even a strange place for glitter though? It should belong everywhere..

I have currently just finished watching Jessica Jones and Orphan Black. These would be pretty cool if they were combined, where there are clones of Jessica Jones!

I don't think I have anything strange in my bag...but when I was working in customer service, a lady opened up her handbag and she had a BABY WOMBAT in there snuggling a hot water bottle!! BEST DAY EVER!

This is my first post (I'm not entirely sure if that is the correct word aha, but I hope you can understand my meaning behind it anyway,) so I'm might make a few mistakes while I'm figuring out how to use this along the way (just as a little warning/apology in case I mess up badly ╭( ･ㅂ･)و. )
What's the funniest way you have injured yourself?
I would have to say the funniest injury I've ever injured myself was when last year when I was playing basketball for my school. The ball had gone off-court directly underneath one of the hoops (a pretty uncomfortable positions if you ask me :P) and I was the designated player to throw it back in. Sadly, I really just wasn't having a good day because instead of throwing it to one of my team-mates, the ball rebounded and hit me directly in the face! Remembering it back, I still don't find it that funny, but what was funny, was the fact that my Dad had decided to just start recording the game at the particular moment and the video is HILARIOUS!! Honestly, you can hear the sound of the ball hitting my face (kind of like those vines which turn into songs, y'know?) and every time I watch it, it just cracks me up. 🙂
How do you stay warm in Winter?
This may sound really weird, but I love it when I my dog sits on my feet.（☆∀☆） I also love my electric blanket but that isn't that interesting, aha.
What's the strangest place you have found glitter?
In JELLY, and it was EDIBLE. I couldn't believe it and really, can you blame me for wanting to to see if glitter has a taste? (It doesn't btw.)
What two TV shows (current or old) would you love to combine to create a new show , what would the first episode be about?
I would love to see Sherlock and Dirk Gentley's Holistic Detective Agency to combine! Even though they are kind of similar in the sense where they are both mystery detective themed, I wouldn't know what to do with myself. The first episode would be about a weird sound that children and people with excellent hearing would be complaining about. (With the ending resulting in discovering it was me screaming at such a high frequency about two of my favourite shows being combined!) Merlin, aka. the most underated show in the world, would also be a great combination to be thought of. Ok, I'll move one, I just get really passionate about some of my favourite shows. 🙂

I prefer to walk, but if there is puddles forming from the rain, I'll obviously run. (more splashes that way aha)

Firstly, thankyou for including my special missions bag, I wouldn't have been able to answer otherwise. 🙂 The strangest thing would probably have to be the random bundle of keychain accessories I have that aren't attached to any keys, just a a metal ring (which is LOTR themed because that's my jam)

So this is my first ever post and I feel so... Satisfied? (once again, not sure if that's the right word but I'll work on it :D)
I also just wanted to add a little bit more of information about myself just below, which is:
- I'd like to be referred to here as Eli or @MyUsernameIsThis (just in case someone wanted to know aha)
- My top 2 favourite bands as of right now are, The Wombats or The 1975 (I also have a soft spot for 5 Seconds of Summer but I'm sure I'll probably talk about them in another post)
- My pronouns are They/Them.
- I have a shirt that glows in the dark (pretty neat, amiright)
-I have alot of anxiety (especially right now since it's exam block :/) that is the main cause mainly for why I'm such an introvert.
- I have been recently diagnosed as schizoeffective and I'm really on here so I can find ways of coping (with stress and anxiety along with other things) in a healthy way. And maybe find a support network or something? I'm not entirely sure yet, but I can't wait to find out everything that these forums have to offer.
So, I guess I'm going to leave now 🙂

What's the funniest way you have injured yourself?
Ok, some of you may already know this but here goes. I was going outside to go down to the supermarket when I saw the cat on the front lawn, "oooh kitty!" I thought. So I went to get the cat, fell down one step, one small little step. Maybe not even 10cms high! I was told I sprained my ankles and had a tiny avulsion fracture in my heel. 3 weeks later after a review at the ortho clinic, they discovered I shattered my right midfoot and had a break in the ankle. So I had to have surgery. Then that morning as the Surgeon examined the CT he realised I broke the left ankle as well! So my tally was 2 broken ankles and a shattered midfoot which required an operation. Luckily the ankle breaks where stable.
And now I am waiting to have the same midfoot operated on again, as I have a bone who is having a party in my foot and won't stay still! So we're going to punish him by sticking him to surrounding bone joints 😛

How do you stay warm in Winter?

I usually just wear an extra layer or two. I have a heap of scarves with are nice in winter too! And I recently bought a couple poncho capes and I am in awe at how warm they keep me while only wearing a tshirt underneath. (But that may have something to do with the gas heater being on which isn't far from my bedroom in the living area :P)

Ooh now this is an interesting one. I am drawing a blank with this one. Although after the mod workshop last year I left glitter in an airplane 😛 that counts right?

Well seeming as my frakenfoot (the one I told you I shattered earlier) doesn't allow me to run, I now walk 😛 or HOBBLE!

Now this is a good question. I can't tell you what is in my top secret mission bag because well, ya know it's TOP SECRET!
But my laptop bag once had colouring in pencils in it, which isn't that weird for me, because I'm OBSESSED with the whole ADULT COLOURING IN!
My handbag, well right now there's that much stuff in there that there's probably everything bar the kitchen sink in there! 😛

Okay so the funniest way that I've hurt myself...that's a tough one, I tend to stupidly hurt myself quite a lot. It might have been one time when I ran at my wall and tried to kind of jump and rebound off it. Almost put a hole in the wall, and my foot was aching for a little while afterwards.
How do you stay warm in winter?
Well, at the moment I'm wearing about five layers on my top half and the other day I probably had about five pairs of pants on. Getting a new wool quilt soon so I may be able to take some of it off.

I don't watch TV much, but it would probably be Jimmy Neutron and The Simpsons because they are shows I used to watch that may or may not go together well. The first episode would probably be about Bart and Jimmy meeting or Lisa liking Jimmy or something. I don't know. As I said, I haven't watched TV for ages so I just chose two shows that I used to like.

I walk if I'm not carrying anything that will be bad if it gets wet. Otherwise, I run like hell.
What's the strangest thing you have in your handbag/school bag/laptop bag/top secret mission bag?
An old mint container that I've had in there since the start of the year. I first put it in there in the first week if school so I could give my friends mints while on a field trip through the Bunya Mountains. It has stayed in my bag ever since. The mints, last time I checked, were kind of blackish greenish. The metal container is dented from being kicked through my bag and its caused a rip in the front pocket. I still keep it in there though.

When I was in high school I was skipping around my house in the middle of the night, and fractured my ankle.
How do you stay warm in Winter?
I live in my bed with blankets and an electric blanket. Occasionally, when the house is warm from having been heated, I will leave my safe place in pyjamas and a hoodie.

On my floor when there's been no explanation for the glitter.
What two TV shows (current or old) would you love to combine to create a new show , what would the first episode be about?
I can't think of any of these right now. I'm generally pretty happy with shows being as is. I like the worlds they encompass.
If it were going to be anything, I think I'd want things by the same creator, or that really make sense for them to combine. For example, The OC and Gossip Girl, since same creator. Or Community and Greek, since it's both college. But I also really wouldn't.
I could see Girl Boss and New Girl working, since they're similar feels and characters. But maybe the similar characters is also the downfall.

I don't really carry much more than necessary around ever. I think right now the strangest thing is a single vial of glitter nail-polish in my handbag.
@BirdeyeGreek is one of my favourite TV shows I have binged it 3 times in total and watched many episodes multiple times, but not many people know about it as it's such an American show 🙂 I have a crush on Cappie even though he's not the type of guy I would go for in real life!
Also one of lecturers has just started watching Community and he relates to Chang (as community college is the American equal of TAFE here) which is kinda scary when you think about it 🙂 I think those two shows would be fun to combine as they are so different but have a common theme so it would be unexpected.
@Zeldasmilemy best friend is really clumsy so I regularly get texts from her about walking into doors or tripping over air. I then proceed to tell her how I have hurt myself that day and she tells me at least I have an excuse for being clumsy (I have a coordination issue called Dyspraxia which means my hand-eye coordination sucks) haha!
@BirdeyeI could go on for days about Greek! I really thought the cast chemistry was spot on and I love how the cast are still friends in real life. You see them in each others instagrams and tweets quite often. There was rumour of a reunion episode a few years ago but apparently that idea never got off the ground but I am still holding out hope that one day we get that reunion episode!
I have this far fetched dream of running off to the US to go to college and join a sorority but that's not going to happen so instead I just watch Greek and pretend I am one of ZBZs 🙂
@ErinsAnticsI love finding out about casts being friends in real life. This is good.
Tbh when I started uni, and even before I enrolled, my plan was to do a semester/year abroad to America and join a sorority. This did not end up happening.

Central heating for the win! Alternatively, I book a holiday up north and run away from the cold (what I'm doing in a couple of weeks :P)

As a few others have mentioned, ReachOut mod workshops are notorious for lots and LOTS of glitter! My first workshop, there was still glitter in my bad after about 6 months. I eventually threw it away because I got sick of cleaning it out hahaha

Oh boy, this is a tough one. I will say that as an avid Big Bang Theory fan, I was really skeptical when they announced the Young Sheldon spinoff. They've somehow managed to pull the damn thing off though, and I love it! The subtle references to moments in TBBT are what make the crossover work 😄

I am extremely clumsy so the stories I could tell! Most recently I fell down 3 steps and broke my ankle which is has resulted in me being in a moonboot for 10 weeks (3.5 weeks to go then I'm out of it!) and a strapped ankle for who knows how long?!
How do you stay warm in Winter?
Buried under multiple blankets while reading a book with a cat curled up next to me. Also I like to wear scarfs when I am out and about.

On my cats! When I use glitter it gets everywhere including my two cats haha! Also I seem to have a small pile of it in my overnight bag and handbag leftover from the Mod workshop last year...
What two TV shows (old or new) would you love to combine to create a new show, what would the first episode be about?
This is a hard question as I feel like you wouldn't just be able to combine two shows without there being a common area, so with that in mind here are some of the shows I would love to combine:
Younger and The Bold Type - a show about the book publishing industry combining with the magazine industry and the challenges they would face. Both are based in New York and feature strong women so it would be an interesting show.
The Office (US) and The IT Crowd - I just want to see Dwight and Roy argue haha! But Dunder Mifflin needs a new IT department and for some reason the Roy, Moss and Jen are the perfect fit for them so the fly over to US and have to deal with culture shock while also the antics of Dunder Mifflin.
Brooklyn Nine Nine and Friends - Amy and Jake move next door to Monica and Chandler can you imagine how funny it would be?! Also Amy is so like Monica and Jake is like Chandler how am I only just noticing this?!

Depends on how heavy it is and if I have an umbrella with me. If it's just sprinkling I like walking through it but if its pouring I will run.

I have coloured pencils in my handbag like 12 small coloured pencils in a box, I sometimes babysit so I like to be prepared! A small pencil case containing a pair of scissors, a permanent marker and highlighters along with pens, surprisingly the scissors and permanent marker have come in handy quite often. I keep ReachOut brochures and stickers in sunglasses case in my handbag as you never know when a chance to promote RO will come along! I also have stray bits of glitter too...
In my car I have discovered that I have 3 umbrellas and I always keep board games in my boot in case spontaneous games nights happen haha!

What was the funniest way of injuring myself _____gee that is tough I’m going to have to go with the time i triped up the gutter( please don’t 😆 🤭 laugh) that was all good i got up and this shooting pain started to come from my foot. Well I actually went in to shock and passed out. Becouse I thought i broke something at least. Some nice ramdon stranger call me an ambulance 🚑. Only to find out at the hospital that I went in to shock becouse i had soft tissue damage well the dr really called it a panic/ anxiety thing. Over embarrassing....
