Travel advice/inspiration!!! ✈️ ✈️

Hey everyone 💛 !!

So my family and I are currently in the middle of planning an overseas holiday in Europe. We are struggling a bit, because there’s just sooo many amazing places to see, and not enough time!! I would love to hear anyones experiences of travelling around Europe, what was your favourite place, what did you LOVE, what would you recommend for a family holiday? Or if anyone has any travel tips and tricks to share?

I would love to hear your travelling stories or inspo!!! ✈️ ✈️

Definitely go paragliding in Switzerland so beautiful and go to Paris and see the louvre and Eiffel Tower and go to Rome and see the colloseum and leaning tower of Pisa and the blue mosque in Turkey Istanbul, and Santorini, those are my favourite places in Europe.

OMG awesome question.

A place I was recommended to by my mum was Rome and initially I didn't think it would be all that but it was amazing. Great food, cool shops and vibey atmosphere and the colosseum is a must see!

I also think Paris is great for the obvious reasons but also for its food and I thnk its a great spot for both summer and winter.

If you like theatre you must go to London and see some west end shows. I have never seen better live performance in my life (though london is very expensice so beware).

I hope you and your family ahave an amazing time!

Hey! @MagsMae so exciting! I recently went to Paris, London, York and Edinburgh. Not sure if you are going to the UK but would absolutely recommend York and Edinburgh. The buildings and scenery are so amazing and you feel like you are in a movie.

One big recommendation that I have is booking your train tickets in advance for the longer train rides (like 1 hour plus). If you book them on the day they are so much more expensive. Also be sure to pack an umbrella!

If you are going to Paris I would also recommend the fairground museum (Musée des Arts Forains). It is an incredible museum of old fun fair rides and displays and you actually get to go on the rides!

Anyways hope you have a great time!

Hi @MagsMae

That is so so exciting! I totally understand how overwhelming yet exciting it can be to plan because you're right there's so many beautiful places to see and it feels like there's not enough time to see it all.

I travelled around Greece as a family holiday and I absolutely loved it! So if you're planning on going to Greece I'm more than happy to give tips/advice for there! 💙

What season are you planning on going in?

Thanks so much @Howl42 . Yes we are definitely considering Greece and planning to go in the summer, so I'm guessing it will be super busy? Which islands did you go to?

Hi @MagsMae I think it depends where you go but you're right most places will be super busy! I've been to santorini, naxos, kefalonia, and hydra but most of the time was spent doing a roadtrip around the mainland. I think santorini is 1000% worth seeing it's so beautiful but also lots and lots of crowds in summer. Pretty much any island you pick will be beautiful. Do you have any in mind?

Following this!

My partner and i are travelling to Europe together next year and all we have booked is our flight to Rome! We obviously want to do the tourist things but also are open to other suggestions of unique things to do.

@MagsMae Where are you and your family going to in Europe?

Hey @sunnygirl606 !

Yes we are definitely considering Rome, although I have heard Italy is going to be really busy next year cause its a Jubilee year. We were thinking of mabye going down to Sicily to escape some of the crowds. We are also thinking of France, Spain, Portugal and Greece!

Good luck with your trip!!

Welcome back!
