Sorry everyone I posted in random straight after I posted in this thread but it came up here?? @Ben-RO this is a bug!
Ah I getcha, @j95 the challenge of time management 😕 every year I start back up at uni, I have those same thoughts, how much other great stuff could I be doing if I didn't spend all my time studying.
Do you think you could work out something with someone in charge where you could have a more convenient availability for your current needs? Or, Is there a way you can do both at a compromised level for now, at least until you're done?

Ah it got posted in the wrong thread @Craycray17 😞 I've had that happen to me before haha
Craycray17Posted 30-03-2016 07:49 PM
Ooooooh I would totally go to... Saturn! Why? Because I want to see its rings!!
How many random questions do you think will have been asked by the time we reach 8pm? (12 mind away according to Melbourne time zone)

Yeah I can understand that, it's so normal to care what others think of you @j95, we all do to varying degrees.
So what are the reasons behind wanting to stop?

j95Posted 30-03-2016 08:02 PM
@Craycray17 I want to stop because I want to follow my other interests, like music sport travel and by working part time somewhere else like a cafe I'll have time to do that stuff, at the moment I'm struggling to fit the things that I love into my schedule like gigs and all the work that goes into that.
Craycray17Posted 30-03-2016 06:01 PM
Hey @j95, I hope you don't mind me saying, I feel like you are applying an all or nothing attitude to this. Right now, the only decision you need to make is the one in front of you, not school, or the apprenticeship 🙂
In my opinion it's normal to have doubts. What do you think has caused you to feel unsure?

j95Posted 30-03-2016 07:44 PM
@Craycray17 the expectations of others and the fact that I might be letting them down if I leave @Craycray17 or even worse, letting myself down, because I know I can go the full way and be qualified. It's almost like I want to prove something to myself and others which is not the best way to make a choice.
j95Posted 29-03-2016 10:52 PM
Yeah I know, but I have literally never finished anything in my whole life, didn't finish school, didn't finish my first apprenticeship and now this, I can't make up my mind it's way too hard and keeps changing every 5 minutes when over the weekend I was so set and sure on my choice. @N1ghtW1ng
N1ghtW1ngPosted 29-03-2016 10:45 PM
@j95 you mentioned that you could go back to your apprenticeship, so that's an option. 🙂
@khaleesi_18 that will be a serious issue, finding a good book and then reading it. Since most of my books are series... I'll never get anything done. 😛

@khaleesi_18 I'm a bit scared and a bit sad, I love my apprenticeship and I always thought I would finish and be qualified, but I guess it's time to move on. I'm excited to try new things but I'm also sad.
khaleesi_18Posted 29-03-2016 10:00 PM
@N1ghtW1ng I've definitely done the shove under the bed thing a few times! I procrastinate unpacking things all the time - even small overnight bags when I stay at my bf's house! Could you approach the unpack in stages? You might rediscover some great books (and then procrastinate by getting caught up reading them...! 😛 haha)
@j95 that's great - they sound pretty chill! I hope the paperwork etc isn't too bad. How do you feel having taken the first step towards trying out new things?

@khaleesi_18 no, from my bookcase. Before I went overseas we emptied most of my books into two boxes and now I've got them back into my room but I'll probably give uo and shove them under my bed.
khaleesi_18Posted 29-03-2016 06:17 PM
@N1ghtW1ng did you buy those books today? What sort of books - uni textbooks?
@j95 well done for chatting to your boss despite feeling nervous! Must be such a relief now that it's done. It sounds like it was a tough convo to have, but that it went well overall?

Yeah @khaleesi_18 it was fine, just have to sit down with the people that organise my apprenticeship and all that stuff, which is fine, I'm not in any hurry - have to find another job first.
N1ghtW1ngPosted 29-03-2016 05:28 PM
I have two boxes of books on my floor right now. I'm sure I'll get around to unpacking them 😛
j95Posted 29-03-2016 06:02 PM
so today I told my boss at work that I'm going to leave and try some other work, pretty nerve racking but it's done
Craycray17Posted 28-03-2016 11:47 PM
Yeah exactly!!! Well I'm really glad you're feeling a bit better tonight, @j95
Craycray17Posted 28-03-2016 11:40 PM
@j95 I just want to say it feels great that someone understands things like I do on this topic. Through all the times we have spoken on here I didn't realise that we both had such similar mind frames about things, so now I understand why I always connect a lot to what you say!
Craycray17Posted 28-03-2016 11:38 PM
Exactly, I think I could learn a lot from this too. Somehow we always end up feeling like it's all pointless and stupid, but then when we are not in that bad way, we know everything is okay again!
j95Posted 28-03-2016 11:46 PM
Yeah it feels good to know I'm not the only one. Sometimes it doesn't take long for my mind to shift and for me to realise I'll be ok, that there is nothing wrong with me and I'm still following a good path, it can just be minutes, which is a bit strange how quick it is. @Craycray17
Craycray17Posted 28-03-2016 11:24 PM
Oh my God, I understand that so much. I am so similar!!! I call it all or nothing, I either have it all perfect, or nothing is working, and it's hard to remember that it's actually up and down and all around and that's okay
