I just wanted to check in to see how you went at the weekend?

I'm neurodivergent and definitely understand all the anxieties that come with food, it can get really overwhelming!

 

Something that helps me if I'm eating out is checking the menu online first so I can plan ahead, and if I'm going away with friends I like to take some of my own snacks with me so I have that as a back up incase I can't manage to eat the food they prepare. Hope that helps you a bit too!

 

Let me know if you came up with anything else that helped you over the weekend, would love to hear 😊

Sorry to hear that you're feeling so anxious 😔. I hope that you are doing ok at the moment. I think @Anzelmo had a few really great options if you were going on a trip with others. Perhaps preparing that ahead of time might help you feel a little better?

I hope you are feeling alright and coping with the anxiety so far. Is this trip something that you are going on with close friends?

 

The reason why I ask is that it may be beneficial to tell them how you have been feeling and why, and I'm sure they would be more than happy to make you feel more comfortable on your trip by helping you with your routine or finding a middle ground.

 

How would you feel about maybe bringing your food and routine with you on your trip and preparing beforehand?

I hear you. It sounds like you feel pretty concerned about being in a different environment where you don’t think you’d feel particularly confident in managing your food intake. It totally makes sense that the anxiety about it could be creeping up. Is this weekend one of the first ones that you’ll be away from what you feel is a more controlled environment? If it isn’t, was there anything that worked for you in other instances where you’ve been away? And last one (I know I’m asking a lot of questions here),

I appreciate you sharing. Let us know how you’re going / how it goes. Be kind to yourself this weekend and just try your absolute best.
