Fleeting moments of happiness

For the first time in a long time I felt confident walking out with a full far of makeup, high heels and a leather jacket. I felt like a different person and surprisingly treated differently as well. Today, I was let on a bus first and for the first time ever a bus driver smiled and said "how do you do ma'm." Being so used to feeling ignored and invisible I found this newfound attention suprising. Despite these small gestures by total strangers, it made me feel loved and appreciated. Something I truly crave for.

I'm so glad to hear that you felt loved and appreciated today @codeblue. Do you think there's some other situations where you feel that way, or people that give you the same feeling?
