Euro trip
Hey guys,
I'm about to head off on a solo trip to Europe for 2 months and i'm feeling a little daunted and VERY excited!! Does anyone have some ideas of things to do on solo holidays? Or fun winter activites?

Oh I love Europe - you'll have an absolute blast! I'm going on my fifth trip to Europe in 20 years this June - I can't wait!
I haven't done a solo trip, but I've had days by myself in different countries whilst I've been traveling. I love finding gorgeous little cafes, sitting my book and taking in the atmosphere of that country. I also like walking aimlessly and just taking everything in - just as long as I don't get lost! Going on bike tours are also great fun! Depends on where you're going though I guess, I've done them in Italy and Japan 🙂

No two European countries are the same so the best activities vary depending on where you're going and what you like to do!
So… where are you going? Do you have an itinerary?
Hey @Lex Yeah i've been alone before but last time i wasnt nervous at all, this time i am! Im going to the UAE on the way over then Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Austria and France. So exciting!!! Its going to be so freezing also! Have you been? Im doing to be doing alot of art chasing and taking photographs of the snow 🙂

From your list, I've been to the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and France. Never managed to get to Norway and if I've been to Austria it was probably when I was a wee little baby.
I'm actually in Iceland right now. It's 0°C right now and all the windows have snow on them, but that's still warmer than, say, Calgary in Canada which is further south but is currently –7°C!
Make sure you make a snowball or two.
Are you staying in hostels? They're a great way to make friends and meet travel buddies.

How about searching for local festivities and activities in the countries that you visit? It could also be fun looking up more obscure activities that aren't touristy or just going where the locals go 
There's also trying the local cuisine and shopping as well
