Something I did well yesterday

Well the past week has been very tough for me but over the past few days I've been able to get some support which has really helped. Yesterday I called Kids Helpline and talked to a counsellor on there and she was amazing. I'm calling back tomorrow to connect with another counsellor I've talked to as the one I talked to last night is going on leave over christmas.

Anyway, I was really proud of myself (not being stuck up or up myself btw) because I fought the urge to self harm and I'm now on my second day clean. Although I purged a couple of times I realise that not everything will go right for me and that's something I've started to get used to.

Anyway so that's what I did well yesterday 🙂

Yesterday I did a really great job at work (I think!)

Yesterday I was in a huge slump, but I managed to get myself out of bed (which was my first big win), and then I had a bath, read my book, cleaned my room and watched the tennis. I still felt crappy, but I managed to get myself to do things. I won't up today feeling fine!

Yesterday I climbed a mountain. I didn't realise how hard it would be, and I'm not incredibly fit right now, but it was literally 4 hours of scrambling up huge granite rocks on my hands and knees. I had to get very creative about how I moved my body in what seemed like impossible spots to climb. The view at the top was breathtaking. We scattered some very precious ashes and then climbed back down VERY slowly.

You should be very proud @Pillow !!

Something I did well yesterday? I continued to volunteer at the salvos, despite the intense heat and not feeling like it. I ended up really enjoying myself and having a laugh while there 🙂

Yesterday I played tennis for the first time in two years. This was absolutely huge for me, as I used to play state and national level tennis, but left on really bad terms. It felt really great to be out on court again

Good job everyone on your achievement, how big or small they are if you reached a point where you thought you couldn't it's the greatest feeling! You feel on top of the world!

@Pillow  I loved reading your post your strength and will power is very admirable, others going through similar situations will defintiely see you as a role model and learn from your experience. Good job again!!

@lokifish Your hard work during your shift really payed off because you felt so good afterwards. That just proves that during struggles, even something like being understaffed, if you keep fighting and stay strong you can do anything!!

@florenceforever That is so awesome that you were able to go back to play tennis again, it seems it was something that really brought happiness in your life and i hope you continue to play it and enjoy it.

As @EloiseRose experienced after being appreciated after your hard work it makes it all that much easier to stay strong and never give up 🙂

Something I did well yesterday would be how I coped during my shift at the animal shelter. We were super short-staffed so had to work twice as hard and efficiently, but in the end it all got done and I left feeling awesome 😄

Hey @Pillow

Well done!

That sounds like you have made some really great steps towards looking after yourself.

You should be proud of yourself thats a fantastic effort.

Yesterday i had to train someone in the job that i do and after the whole shift the person i was training said they had a great day and i didnt make it seem overwhelming... i guess thats something good i did yesterday?

Again @Pillow you should be really proud of yourself!
