@AngelJoy are you comfortable going on webchats to discuss things with a counsellor through helplines like Kids Helpline? It's understandable that you would not want to speak over the phone if you have trouble understanding what people are saying. This also might be a stretch, but have you ever spoken to a doctor about the possibility that your trouble with understanding/hearing people might be a neurological matter? It's possible that the issue actually isn't with your ears themselves. Seeing a GP on your own like @Lost_Space_Explorer5 said might be the way to go. I believe anyone 16 years and over can apply for their own Medicare card and attend their GP's office alone. I'm wondering if you would comfortable speaking with a school counsellor and having them support you in having a conversation with your parents about your depression. Your school could call an SSG, discuss your progress at school and also discuss supports. Would you consider this as an option?
@Lost_Space_Explorer5 it's great that you have found a distraction for tonight. Essays were never my favourite thing to do. I hope you're having a great homework session, if there is any such thing.
