Hey @MB95,
I'm sorry that you're feeling so stressed and overwhelmed. I firstly want to remind you that everything will be okay! I know that it might not be easy to think like that right now but remember that you are okay and these feelings are normal. Try not to be so hard on yourself 🧡 I think it is a good idea that you take some time off from your studying to do some well-being activities or a hobby you enjoy. This will help you recenter and clear the brain fog you are experiencing right now. I know that when I am stressed and anxious about exams or work my brain feels like it is shutting down, which then makes me more anxious! When I feel like that I really try to take a break and put my mental health before my study. Because yes exams are important but they are not worth compromising your mental health! A walk or run would be a great idea and help you to get endorphins flowing through your body! Please only do this if you feel and are safe doing so. It might be a good idea to ask a friend or family member to come with you? You could even do a home-workout (pilates is lots of fun!) if you prefer. It could also be a good idea to do some other well-being activities like meditation, reading a good book or watching a funny movie. If you feel guilty for taking some time to recharge, that's normal and doesn't mean you shouldn't still prioritise your well-being. I often feel guilty when I take a study break but i remind myself that its important for me to be in the best possible mental state so that I can study for exams to the best of my ability! It's always easier to tell others to stay positive than it is telling ourselves, but it's important that we try to follow the advice that we give others!
I believe in you!! You are more capable than you think. If you are really struggling with your exams and presentation I highly recommend that you go and talk to your teachers or seek some support services at your university as this can really make a world of difference.
If you are worried or think you might seriously hurt yourself please contact an emergency service or tell/talk to a trusted friend or family member. We can always give you support and advice so please look after yourself!!
