Hi @GeorgieGirl , I'm sorry that your parents' attitude towards the LGBTQ+ community has impacted your ability to feel comfortable expressing yourself. I remember constantly trying to express myself authentically in ways that only strangers or people that I was already out to would be able to tell.

I did experience internalised homophobia for many years and it's a hard thing to break sometimes but my parents have always been supportive so I can't say I know exactly what you're going through. My girlfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years and have still not been able to come out to a fair few of our close high school friends or her parents, so I hope that it helps you, knowing that you are not alone in any way.
