It sounds so tough @Rattata - that makes complete sense re: the safety concerns for both you and your girlfriend's families, it's not always as simple as what's allowed is it?
It sounds like you're really aware of respecting your needs.
I hear you when you say the extensions and unknowns are particularly hard - I'm really looking forward to the day when it's all a distant memory for everyone. 💛
That sounds really complicated re: uni, especially if you haven't been able to link in with support services at your new uni yet. Do they have a counselling department or similar who might be able to point you in the right direction for support?
Sounds like you're worried about feeling guilty if you extend your degree and that's completely understandable. I'm not sure if it helps, but I took 9 years to finish my last degree and in hindsight I don't regret it at all. Life happens, sometimes things can be beyond our control, and it's okay to say you need space. But you know yourself best and only you know what's going to be the right approach for you.
I'm sorry to hear about the challenges with your friend on the group chat too - do you feel like it's something you want to resolve with them, or would you prefer to keep taking some space from it all?
