Sure, I'd be happy to link some resources @Tulip_Starling 🙂 On top of something like reaching out to a GP or other professional supports, there are online supports like kidshelpline, eheadspace, and lifeline
We have some articles on RO about self harm as well here and here and KHL has an article here
There are lots of people on here (including myself) who've struggled/are struggling with SH and it can be helpful to talk it through. So if you need/want to talk about it or anything else we're here for you
SH can be a way of coping when things are really tough and some people aren't in a place where they can or even want to quit. It's really important to talk to a professional about keeping safe if you do continue with SH. A support person should be understanding and not make you feel bad about yourself so it's good to keep that in mind. What do you think?
There are lots of other coping strategies to try which can be more helpful and safer than SH. These can include anything from distracting yourself, self-soothing and grounding, or reaching out to supports. It can be a bit of a trial and error figuring out what works for you so it's important to be kind to yourself I think.
There are some worksheets here for coping with tough emotions and also I've found this is a good app with coming up with alternatives to SH
Sorry if this is a lot of stuff, you don't have to check it all out, but I hope some of it is a little bit helpful for you ❤️
