From reading your post, I wouldn't say you're overreacting. I think your reactions are very reasonable given that the event they tease you about seems to have been quite traumatizing for you. 

I know your post was a while ago but I wanted to check up on how you're doing? Have you since been able to find a counsellor/ someone you feel comfortable talking to? Have you expressed your feelings to your group of friends?
