i am sorry you had such a hard day/experience. that must bring up a lot of heavy feelings. hopefully with time you will get better at the volunteer position but it is still early and it may take some getting used too so try to be kind to yourself. for the record i dont think you are terrible at talking to people i think every individual responds to a different approach and not everyone will be suited to work with you and that is ok and normal and it doesnt mean there is anything wrong with you or the other person. i hope that made sense if not just ignore it lol.
