That sounds full on and I think I'd be the exact same. Lying is extremely uncomfortable and some people just aren't cut out for it. If you ask me I don't think you did the wrong thing or anything and it shows what type of genuine person you are so don't beat yourself up about it! I think the volunteer thing is in the wrong here because you should never be asked to lie!! Maybe let your supervisor know how it makes you feel and see if she has any other ways she goes about answering whatever it is they say to lie about? Idk sorry. I think I would have done the same.
