I hope you are feeling okay. I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling really anxious and that this situation has been hard for you.
Maybe a better way you could frame the whole situation could be "Taking one step back to take two steps forward" kind of thing instead of just having a backset. You're still moving forward and getting better, and sometimes we just have bad days but that doesn't mean you're failing or doing something wrong.
Also as Sophia has already mentioned, do you have anyone that you could talk to and open up to about your panic attacks. If you're comfortable sharing, why do you feel like you don't want to tell your friends and that it's easier to keep it away from them? It could help to get this off your chest even though as you've mentioned that doing that can be scary when you're concerned about worrying others.
