It sounds like you're feeling pretty lonely at the moment, which I think a lot of people are just now because of the pandemic and not being able to connect with as many people in person. We've seen lots of other community members dealing with the same kinds of feelings, so you're definitely not alone We had our psychologist Rashida talk about lonlieness in this video that you might find helpful.
You've mentioned that you've dealt with depression for the last few years but didn't feel like therapy was helping you - do you have any other support around this from your GP or medication? Is therapy something you think you'd be up for trying again sometime? Finding a therapist that suits your personality, experiences and needs can take a while, but once you find the right one it can make such a difference.
Friendline might be a good website for you to check out too, they offer a service where you can call and chat to someone if you're feeling lonely. And if you feel like you need some more support, Beyond Blue is a great service that offers help with depression and anxiety.
I love your dream of travelling the world! I have travelled lots, and did it all on my own so that's always an option too. I had the best time and met so many amazing people along the way, and had such great experiences that might not have happened if I was travelling with other people. Where would be on your top 5 list of places to travel to?
